When you purchase a civitas. package, you have a statutory right of withdrawal as a consumer. You can withdraw from the contract within a fixed period without giving reasons — here you can read when the period starts, how to withdraw, and when the right expires early.
14 days from conclusion of the contract
The period is 14 days from conclusion of the contract. Within this time you can withdraw from the contract without giving reasons.
How to withdraw
Withdrawal is possible without any particular form by means of a clear declaration. You can send it, for example, by email to kontakt@einbuergerungsservice.de or use our contact form. No specific form is prescribed — it is enough that it is clearly recognisable that you wish to withdraw.
When the right of withdrawal expires early
The right of withdrawal can expire before the 14 days elapse — but only under the statutory conditions of § 356 BGB. For this, two conditions must come together:
- civitas. has fully performed the service, and
- you have previously expressly agreed that performance may begin before the period expires, and confirmed that your right of withdrawal expires upon full performance.
This agreement is not given through the terms and conditions, but exclusively through a separate, active declaration during the ordering process. Without this declaration, civitas. does not begin performance before the period expires, and your right of withdrawal remains fully intact.
In practice this means: as long as you have not yet fully completed the wizard, the right of withdrawal continues to apply. As soon as you have finally submitted the application or downloaded the authority-ready PDF, the service has been performed and the right expires.
Compensation for value on early commencement
If you expressly request that performance begin before the withdrawal period expires and then withdraw, you owe compensation for the value of the service already provided up to the withdrawal (§ 357a Abs. 2 BGB).
The complete rules are set out in our terms and conditions and in the withdrawal instructions. We expressly draw your attention to both before you complete the purchase.
