One standard for three worlds.

Each target group uses its own interface — but the technical core, the data protection architecture, and the legal positioning are identical. This creates interoperability and shared baseline security.

01 · Data protection

Server location Germany.

Exclusively Hetzner Online GmbH in Nuremberg. TLS 1.3 throughout, AES-256 at storage level. No data transfer outside the EU. AVV (data processing agreement) under Art. 28 DSGVO as standard.

02 · Multi-tenant

Strict separation between partners.

Authority, law firm, counseling center — each organization is its own tenant with full isolation. No data mixing, granular role models, auditable access.

03 · RDG-compliant

Not a Rechtsdienstleister (legal services provider).

civitas. provides purely technical procedural support. No interpretation of individual cases, no legal advice, no competition for law firms. Legal boundaries built into the product architecture.

04 · Interoperability

No vendor lock-in.

Export of all data as JSON at any time. XÖV output and FIT-Connect integration in preparation; API documentation on request. The partner organization remains technically sovereign and able to switch providers at any time.

civitas. is not a collection of isolated products — but a network in which applicants, authorities, law firms, and counseling centers communicate with each other. Data handovers are structured, references are traceable, responsibilities remain separated.
