Are there any additional costs beyond the package price?

At civitas. you pay once and nothing more. Independently of this, the Behörde (authority) itself charges a statutory fee of 255 € per adult and 51 € per co-applicant child (§ 38 StAG). This fee goes directly to the authority, not to us.

What distinguishes civitas. from a law firm?

civitas. is purely a software service, not a Rechtsanwaltskanzlei (law firm). We prepare your application in structured and multilingual form. We do not offer Rechtsberatung in individual cases, anwaltliche Vertretung (legal representation) before authorities or Klageverfahren (litigation) — and that is precisely why our prices are significantly lower than law-firm representation (there 1,500 to 3,500 €).

Is there a guarantee of success?

The decision on Einbürgerung (naturalization) is made solely by the competent authority pursuant to the Staatsangehörigkeitsgesetz (Citizenship Act). We cannot provide a guarantee of success — no provider may. What we do guarantee: your application is formally complete, all required fields are filled in, and it is ready to submit to the authority.

Can I switch to a different package later?

Yes. As long as you have not yet submitted your application, you can switch to a higher package at any time — you only pay the difference. A downgrade is not possible after purchase, as the scope of service has already been unlocked.

How does the Widerrufsrecht (right of withdrawal) work?

You have a 14-day Widerrufsrecht (right of withdrawal) from purchase if you have not yet fully completed the wizard. If you have already finally submitted the Antrag (application) or downloaded the authority-ready PDF, the Widerrufsrecht expires. Details are governed by our AGB (terms and conditions) and the Widerrufsbelehrung (withdrawal notice) — we explicitly inform you before checkout.

Why is the family package cheaper than individual purchases?

The family package contains the full scope of Plus — document validation, status tracking, prioritized support — and guides up to four people through a joint application. The price is significantly lower than four individual bookings (449 € instead of 4 × 299 € = 1,196 €), because the joint application only needs to be conducted once technically. Also included are the special forms for §4 Abs. 3 StAG (children born in Germany, jus soli) and §40b StAG (transitional provision, option model).

Which payment methods are accepted?

Credit card (Visa, Mastercard), SEPA-Lastschrift (direct debit), Sofortüberweisung, Klarna and Apple Pay. All payments run through Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1 certified). civitas. does not store payment data.
